Finally, 6 months after the release of Let Me Know Tamar Braxton released her new single If I Don’t Have You last night.
This will serve as the 2nd single of her upcoming album Calling All Lovers which will be out July 31st.
Take a listen to the return of Miss Braxton. Classic Tamar song and I’m lovin’ it!
Leona Lewis is back with a new single called Fire Under My Feet. She finally went in the right direction with her music again, back to Bleeding Love style. With that sound people fell in love with her. Her last album was way too dance oriented in my opinion and didn’t let her beautiful voice shine through.
Fire Under My Feet will be out on iTunes June 7th, don’t get why it takes so long honestly since they released the video today. This will be her first record under new label Def Jam by the way.
Some call it the biggest night in fashion. The MET ball is without a doubt a very excited night fashion wise since this it’s thé time to go over the top! The theme of this year’s gala was China: Through The Look Of Glass. The gala was held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City last night.
This time I only selected my favorite looks of the night and won’t focus on the worst dressed. While selecting my list I kept the theme of the night in mind. I saw several beautiful dresses but they just weren’t in sync with the dress code.
Rihanna really wowed me, she took a risk and it really paid off! She is wearing a Chinese design by Guo Pei. Beyoncé took the tagline ‘through the look of glass’ quite literally, like lots of others by the way. Givenchy Haute Couture designed her sheer sparkly dress. Next up is Jennifer Lopez who collaborated with Donatella Versace on her dress. It fits the theme with the fire-breathing dragon twisting around her body. Have to say I’m not a fan of both the makeup and hair, she could’ve been way more high fashion with both. Kim Kardashian, with hubby Kanye West also in a Cavalli design by Dundas by her side, worked Peter Dundas’ (former Pucci creative director) first dress for his return to Roberto Cavalli.
Another sheer moment but beautifully executed. Another Dundas design for Cavalli was worn by Joan Smalls, also a gorgeous piece! Karen Elson went all out in her Dolce & Gabbana dress, giving it a royal twist. In a quite simple dress, by J. Mendel, Olivia Munn made her red carpet entrance but it worked in my opinion.
Tom Ford designed Rita Ora’s red dress, especially from the waist up it has a Chinese feel. Another perfect match to the theme was Maggie Q’s white Tory Burch ensamble. This might not be the most perfect fit thematically but I really like the gold Diane von Furstenburg dress on Kate Beckinsale.
